For a strong letter, you want to find someone who can speak about your strengths. Make sure that your letter writer knows you well and can talk about the strengths you want to highlight in your letter.

Information needed

Please send me an email with the following information:

• your CV
• your transcript
• what you’re applying for (exact name of the program/degree)
• Tell me what courses you have taken with me and when (ex. LING 325; Spring 2024)
• Tell me something that you’d like me to highlight in the letter (ex. a project or an assignment you’re proud of; a project you led in the lab, etc.)
• Tell me why you want to pursue the degree you’re applying for
• Instructions for sending letters: if letters have to be sent out separately to each school, please send me an excel/sheets file that lists the relevant links and deadlines.
